Andreas Haja

Andreas Haja teaches the Lidar Course in the Udacity Sensor Fusion Nanodegree Program.

Prof. Dr. Haja is a technology expert for autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and computer vision with more than 10 years of professional experience. Since 2014, he is working as a full Professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Emden Germany, where he researches and teaches at the faculty of technology.

From 2008 until 2013, Dr. Haja was a Project Manager for ADAS with Volkswagen AG. In addition to the development and testing of new ADAS systems, Dr. Haja has been responsible for strategic advice on camera technology as well as for supplier assessment, innovation management and for supporting procurement procedures in the ADAS space.

From 2005 until 2008, Dr. Haja was a Computer Vision Expert with Robert Bosch GmbH. He was responsible for developing stereo camera algorithms for the automotive aftermarket division.

His experience is based on positions in corporate research and in advance development with Bosch and VW, on current research at university and on several years of technology consulting (including in-depth written reports and keynote talks) in the driverless car space.
